  • Upcoming 1.8 Release -

    • 1.8 branch will be cut on Tuesday. 1.8 Release is targeted after 3 weeks once the branch is cut.

    • Release notes updates - 

      • Alpha quality with minimal LTE testing done using srsRAN (UE attach & ping) on AWS graviton2 with Ubuntu 20.04/5.4 kernel running containerized AGW

      • Arm CI – Containerized AGW build job enablement on AWS graviton2

      • Arm Partners can update the release notes with their devices once the sanity test is complete within the release timeline







Arm Dev Summit in October at Sanfrancisco (https://devsummit.arm.com/flow/arm/devsummit22/home/page/lp):

  • Magma Devops (@Timothee Dzik & @Shubham Tatvamasi ), Marc and Govind are going to talk and provide an update about Arm in Magma.

  • Encourage partners and others to share your contributions and plans in Magma/Arm eco system:

    • Magma Devops are going to talk about Arm Test CI enablement and roadmap

    • Arm partners can provide an update about the enablement of containerized AGW on your devices. 

      • Sercom completed the sanity test with their Englewood Radio.

      • Hawk eye and Nexcom sanity test details with Real Radio / srsRAN sanity test.

  • C5G Team will be conducting Magma workshop for 90 minutes to help developers to start running containerized AGW on Arm devices.







  • Partner system Enablement -

    • Containerized AGW bring up status and issues:

      • Hawkeye – srsRAN test fails due to PLMN issue 

      • Sercom – Sanity test completed with Englewood Radio. 

        • Performance test: TCP/UDP DL is ok but TCP/UDP UL perf is ~200K

      • Nexcom – NXP LSDK related issues to bring up Ubuntu 20.04/5.4 kernel



Sercom - Perf is not related to Magma

Nexcom - Ubuntu 18.04 based NXP LSDK. NXP team can help.

Jordan can help Rob Singleton to resolve performance issues. No header enrichment. MME/Sessiond failures can happen on low memory systems.

  • Enabling Traffic test in Arm CI:

    • Automating srsRAN test – Arm partners can work with Magma Devops

    • Enabling containerized S1AP test
