Background

The OCP Evenstar project is an intiative for 5G open radio unit platform. 

5G Radio initiatives are of strategic interest to Magma and as of mid 2024 we are working jointly with OCP Evenstar in several areas.

LFC/Evenstar Joint Acitvity For OCP Global Summit 2024

At a high level LFC/Evenstar is working on the following for the OCP summit in October, 2024

1. A Press-release highlighting the three open communities (LFC, OCP, OAI) joining forces to advance RU software and hardware 

2. LFC Open M-plane/Magma participation in the Evenstar white paper OCP Evenstar Whitepaper - Google Docs

3. A demo of hardware and software units for Evenstar + LFC to show co-design advancements

1. Magma outreach group meeting on June 13, 2024 to discuss Magma positioning for white-paper and demo
