Extension of Magma to support EAP-TLS for WiFi Authentication raised by Shruti Sanadhya, seconded by Raphael. Majority voted in favor.

DCO / sign-off mechanism not clarified

• The documentation at https://github.com/magma/magma/wiki/Contributing-Code/3791b1a38e99e519c8c72f23a8273afe6b566b97 does not explain what the sign-off or the DCO implies

  • This section now contains that content, since there is no way of doing PRs towards wiki

• there is no copy of or link to https://developercertificate.org in the repository and documentation

• there is no explanation what a valid sign-off is, other than the required DCO check in the CI

• there is also https://github.com/magma/community/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md#developers-certificate-of-origin, which is a little bit clearer, but not in the right repository

Possible resolution:

• Clarify the DCO in the contributing-code documentation (or even better to "CONTRIBUTING.md")
  
  

  • ... that the sign-off corresponds to the DCO and that one should be aware of the implications,

  • ... what a valid sign-off requires (e.g. regarding pseudonyms or anonymous contributions)
